Rene Pickhardt is an independent Lightning Network Developer and Researcher. He has co-authored Mastering the Lightning Network and answered almost half of all questions about the Lightning Network on stack exchange. After he described optimally reliable and cheap payment flows and probabilistic payment delivery which are commonly known as Pickhardt Payments he became interested in investigating the fundamental boundaries of the Lighting Network as a Payment System for Bitcoin.
